"Agora de Québec, 19.30, still 30 degrees outside, 40 degrees even with the Humidex. Only a small breeze from the river can tolerate the extreme heat. Agora de Québec, 19.30, ancora 30 gradi fuori, 40 gradi persino con l'Humidex. Solo una brezza leggera proveniente dal fiume aiuta a tollerare l'afa terribile. La temperatura non è riuscita a fermare il formarsi della coda sotto il sole cocente, durante il pomeriggio. La birra scorre per calmare tutta questa gente che ha aspettato pazientemente per l'apertura dei cancelli. Molte urla si levano quando una bandiera del Québec, con il simbolo della band star della serata si leva su un'asta dal parterre, oltre a questo colpo per una bella memoria video ti dai gruppi cameramen.
La serata inizia con il gruppo americano Halestorm. Alcune impostazioni del suono vengono controllate dopo l'entrata del quartetto sul palco. Infatti, la batteria nelle prime due canzoni è troppo forte, al punto che a malapena si potevano sentire cantante e chitarre. La serata continua con l'entrata degli Avenged. Inoltre, con una seconda performance in Québec in meno di un anno (il gruppo ha suonato il 14 luglio 2011 nella 44esima edizione del Summer Festival), la barriera è stata alzata per sovraperformare la performance dello scorso anno. Dopo alcuni applausi, quando il drappo è stato issato durante la preparazione, il gruppo è stato calorosamente salutato da una folla piena di mostri, quando le luci si sono spente. Un fiume di di luci artificiali e cellulari accompagna il tutto, ispirando un momento di riflessione per tutti. Un'altro cambio di tono nella serata si ha con Bat Country e Chapter Four, ed è qui che la folla si rianima, formando un moshpit. Un'ultimo drappo raffigurante una casa infestata compare, per dare il benvenuto a 'A Little piece of heaven'. Si ha un impressionante boato di percussioni, e la folla urla il nome della band. Una pioggia di fuochi d'artificio ed ecco che partono Fiction e Unholy confessions, che concludono la serata che la band ci ha offerto. L'energia che il pubblico è stato in grado di trasmettere è stata amplificata dalla band, che era evidentemente compiaciuta della serata.
Sicuramente, la performance degli Avenged della scorsa estate è stata leggermente meno briosa se confrontata con quella di stasera. I ragazzi sono stati in grado di farci dimenticare il caldo soffocante e hanno definitivamente conquistato il cuore del pubblico, di nuovo. Québec non ha dubbi sulla sua band preferita.
