Loudwire ne ha approfittato per postare una piccola intervista al nostro Matt in cui si parla proprio del suo regalo di Natale preferito.
Come prevedibile visto che Matt non può vivere senza videogames, fra i regali che ricorda con più affetto c'è il suo primo Nintendo regalo di sua nonna, specialmente per i primi giochi: Mario Bros e Duck Hunt.
Passa poi al lato più tenero da papà che non vede l'ora di vedere suo figlio maggiore che al secondo Natale inizia a capire com'è "la festa" e a correre su e giù per casa impaziente per i regali. "Sono eccitato perchè è iniziato un nuovo capitolo della mia vita in cui io mi entusiasmo a vedere i miei figli che sono eccitati (per il Natale)"
With Christmas coming this week, Loudwire recently asked a few rockers for their favorite holiday memories. Avenged Sevenfold‘s M. Shadows was one of those musicians, and like many children of his age, his first gaming system was his favorite gift he ever got.
“My favorite gift memory was getting my first Nintendo from my grandmother, now that I’m thinking about it. That’s what started the whole journey [to the Avenged Sevenfold's recent 'Hail to the King: Deathbat' video game],” says Shadows. “I remember it came with ‘Mario Bros.’ and ‘Duck Hunt.’ I remember setting it up on the TV with the wires in the back and it blew my mind at the time. Just getting my first Nintendo was amazing.”
Now that he’s older, Shadows is thrilled to be passing on the tradition to his son. “This year is going to be amazing because I have a 2-year-old and it’ll be his first year being cognizant of what Christmas is and being excited and running downstairs,” says the singer. “We already see with Halloween how excited he is, so I’m just excited to start that chapter of my life where you get excited because your kids are excited.”

"Il regalo preferito che ho ricevuto è stato il mio primo Nintendo, regalatomi da mia nonna, ora che ci penso. E' li che è iniziato il viaggio intero (la passione) dice Matt, ricordo che mi arrivò con Mario Bros e Duck Hunt. Mi ricordo che dovevo collegarlo alla tv per farlo funzionare con tutti quei cavi e ci perdevo la testa ogni volta. Ricevere il mio primo Nintendo è stato fantastico".
Ora che è grande, Matt è entusiasmato nel passare le tradizioni a suo figlio. "Questo anno sarà fantastico perchè ho un figlio di 2 anni e questo sarà il primo anno in cui realizza cosa è Natale e sarà tutto entusiasmato e correrà per tutta la casa. Lo abbiamo già visto succedere con Halloween quanto si entusiasma, quindi sono molto eccitato nel veder iniziare questo nuovo capitolo della mia vita dove tu ti entusiasmi nel vedere i tuoi figli eccitati".
